This was one of my first attempts at stenciling on fondant. It was for a close friends bridal shower. My hands still shake when I am piping especially when it is a dark color on top of white. But even though you can see the shaky lines it still looked awesome!

Do or do not.......
There is no try!
This is my first Star Wars cake and my only one that I have done so far. I am eager to do another! The cake was pretty simple once I got past the detail in Yoda's head. I absolutely loved this cake and I was glad that I was not around when they cut into Yoda!

Bear Baby Shower Cake
This was a fun cake to do. I had the help from a girl I worked with who generously donated her kitchen space to make a mess in! We used a pound cake for the bear in a molded pan so there would be now carving needed. He (the bear) ended up being a little too heavy for the bottom layers and started to lean as the day progressed. The blocks, bottle, and duck were made out of solid fondant. The icing was your standard Icing sugar, vanilla, shortening, butter mixture and it was rot your teeth sweet!

Cinderelly Cinderelly, night and day it's Cinderelly!
Cinderella!
The hair is made with fondant but the rest is nothing but piped stars! It took a long time but looked pretty cool when done! I haven't done many cakes this way because most people ask for more outrageous 3D cakes. I think that the slab character cakes are becoming out of style.

Take me out to the ball game!
This was for a birthday of a big baseball fan. None of the pictures I took of this cake were in focus, bummer:( It wasn't exactly to scale but they loved it anyway!
Wedding cake number 2
This was my 2nd attempt at a wedding cake. I was solo for this one and although the couple loved it I still nit pick the little errors! But, it is a learning process!
The really cool thing about this cake was that it was purple on this inside!

My first blog post!
Hi! Thank you for checking out my cake blog. This is a way for me to share all of my cake creations with everyone! I really hope you enjoy them.
In the beginning....
I started out decorating cakes about 10 years ago while working at Tim Horton's. No formal training, just a quick run through and a picture guide line to follow. Eventually I did get better at it!
In 2002 I helped a close friend do a wedding cake using fondant and then I was hooked! I have done some crazy things with cake over the years and I will do my best to show you all of them.
This is the first wedding cake I worked on!
